Row of Classics
Saturday dawned cool and grey with the threat of rain so there were only a few hardy souls out in their sports cars. And of course we had a smaller group this year due to the weather but the size was made up by enthusiasm. We met at the Petro Canada and after the requisite hot chocolate and washroom breaks headed up to Gibbons with Bob leading the way in the Lotus down some of the curvy back roads. We found our parking spot opposite the fire Hall and after checking with them (it’s a no parking zone) we settled in for the day. I think some gems were found and others missed but everyone seemed to have a good time. The weather got progressively better and by the time we headed out to Rod’s it was actually sunny if not really warm. Some people had to head back to town before the Western Classics run which was too bad as Rod had a good supply of Burgers and hot dogs and the rest of the day sped by as we poked around and talked cars and people and cars and just about everything else but religion and politics. Before we knew it seven thirty had rolled around and we headed off into a lovely sunset wrapping up another good day. Though next year I’m grabbing a map and going to the house garage sales around town.. Thanks everyone for coming out and Rod for putting on a nice spread.. even if it was Lucky beer.
